ABOUT ME

After living in New York as a non-stop entrepreneur since college, I've decided to get out and explore the world. I've been backpacking for the last 4+ months thru India, Southeast Asia, and most recently Africa. My main mission in my travels has been to explore various cultures, embark on challenging and fun filled adventures, and connect with people and communities doing incredible work to make a real change in their societies.

I've met so many amazing people doing work for NGOs, social enterprises and local members of communities.

We are truly living during an amazing period of time. I am constantly energized by how the world is so deeply connected both online and offline. I am insanely excited to be traveling at this stage of my life and meeting so many amazing people along this journey...

PHILOSOPHY

I believe you should view everyone as an equal, as we are all humans, all capable of flaws, and the capacity to achieve the unimaginable. I aim to treat everyone with the respect and attention I believe one deserves.

I believe in aiming to leave zero trace...

I aim to be open minded, spontaneous, forgiving and appreciative, which of course is always a challenge to keep the mind in such a balanced state. And of course to have fun, because if your not enjoying yourself it doesnt matter how important the work you are doing is, you need to enjoy it and create an joyful environment that others want to be around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had one Couchsurfing experience to date, but looking forward to filling up pages of stories in my journal in the months to come. I surfed in Meru, Kenya with 9 others that I was roadtripping with. We tented out in the front yard of a guy named Julius who had an amazing daughter and wife. We chatted about permaculture and charity work, and I cooked a meal for everyone in their kitchen. An excellent first surf....

I enjoy meeting those who have rational and sound judgment, those who are constantly learning & teaching, those who challenge the status quo, those who can laugh, those who can dance, those who smile till their face hurts, those who are one part dreamers and one part doer (or if not that they atleast recognize the need to meet their counterpart), and those who give to the world as much as they take from it, if not more...
