About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live a happy, loving, sustainable life

ABOUT ME

I live in mid-west Wales, and love the many good times here with wonderful people in stunning landscapes.

I'm really interested in transitioning to sustainable societies, and am wanting to help with efforts towards this.

In workshops where my friends have had to stick words onto my back to describe me, I've been covered with words like 'happy','lovely', 'gentle', 'excited','enthusiastic', 'vibrant', 'creative' and 'organised'. People have said I'm communicative, positive, passionate and very open-minded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I became a member before travelling around Europe with my friend Tallis when we were 18. We went to Amsterdam, Vienna, Croatia, Venice, Bari and Florence, France and Barcelona. Since then I've had many excellent experiences couchsurfing with people in various countries. I have hosted several couchsurfers, and look forwards to meeting more people this way in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've very much wanted to join in with couchsurfing ever since I first heard of it years ago. Similar things I've experienced are WWOOFing trips and going to stay in city housing co-operatives or rural eco-villages. I've had extremely positive experiences with hosts across Europe, and enjoyed hosting people myself in Wales. I'm looking forward to an ever-expanding plethora of couchsurfing experiences!

Interests

I love exploring, getting creative, painting, traveling, laughing, running, drawing, woodlands, being in the sea ...

I'm currently studying a Sustainability and Adaptation MSc part-time, which relates strongly to many of my general interests.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Hmmm... hitching across Turkey from Cappadocia to Istanbul was a fun adventure.
- A beautiful occasion this summer was at a party near where I live, people had made a hot tub out of straw bales on top of a hill, and everyones skin was steaming, only lit up by a big full moon and the roaring fire beside it.
- Solo travel around Scandinavia and Spain - great time wild camping, hiking, interrailing, couchsurfing, being in beautiful places and meeting lots of lovely people.
- About to set off on a solo trip overland through Europe, Russia, Mongolia, China, to Vietnam and beyond...

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn so much more, but some specific things at the moment are agroecology, permaculture, and natural building design... Not sure what I can teach you, but hopefully something!

What I Can Share with Hosts

How about a delicious vegan meal?
My positive, calm, easy-going, thoughtful attitude!
