About Me

ABOUT ME

Hm, they'd probably say that I'm very friendly, balanced, content and thoughtful. But I seek to leave that haven of happiness and sail out on rocky waters, to find adventures and stir passion, let it lift me high or low. A monk's life is a happy way, but it's just one way.

PHILOSOPHY

There's no reason I'm here. But as I'm already here, I might as well enjoy it as much as possible.

Interests

I'm interested in music. And movies lately. I've got a whole list of movies I want to watch in cinema or on DVD, because I appreciate them too much as to casually watch them on the computer. Also, it has more style, which is important for me too. I'm trying to choose a style of life, so others I appreciate benefit (for example artists, Mother Nature...). This is the thought behind the choice I make of the many, many choices we nowadays have. That said about consuming and everyday life.
The time I don't spend with everyday life I go climbing or try to organise something, like an evening in the cinema, a year of studying abroad in Spain or some ambitious new recipe I'm gonna cook for dinner the next day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's not really moments, but rather experiences...
I once wanted to visit a friend of mine in Graz and stay at her place for some days. As I arrived at the train station, I realised I had by mistake given her the wrong date, and she wasn't in town. She arranged a stay for me at a friend of hers, who also sometimes hosted couchsurfers. And it was so awesome! I had never seen this girl before and didn't know anything about her, but she was so great. I really felt welcomed there, although I was just some stranger, driven there by coincidence. On her toilet there was a sign asking: "What was the last time you had something you would call an experience?" This was. My first couchsurfing experience.
The next one even less is a concrete moment. It's this feeling I had in the city of Salamanca, Spain, when we spent one week there with our schoolclass. This feeling when going out at night, free to go, wherever we wanted, switching bars and places as we pleased, walking the whole city afree, without jackets, in the warm summer night. And knowing that this city is so far away from home, full of people whose language we barely know, but still, such a friendly place.
And a few days ago, on my balcony. The weather was beautiful, the sun was bright, I was eating an apple, and it was so GOOD.
