Overview
About Me
I'm a peaceful and candid guy on a bike. I'm on my journey to and through Norway for which I stopped studying after three months of studying - guess what: i wasn't really studying.
I think I'm very genuine in general.
I'd call myself a little bit introverted. After all I've heard of Norwegian people, you don't find it a bad thing. But my friends wouldn't describe me like that anyways, I think.
I love good talks about anything that is about you or me. I'm practicing myself in smalltalk but I'm not sure though if I find it a good or a bad thing.
It will be a new experience to me just to be with people I never met before. I'm really looking forward to this! :D
I definitely am too serious sometimes. Anyways there are moments I'd rather be more serious, as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing probably is the best way for solo-travelers to meet people. Since I'm traveling alone I happy about companionship from time to time :3
Interests
There are lots of things I do not often/regularly or not as extensive as I would like, such as playing guitar and drums, singing, surfing, sleeping, swimming, skiing, filming, reading and more ...
- photography
- cooking
- video games
- bouldering
- music
- biking
Music, Movies, and Books
Red hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, The Cat Empire, Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Phoenix, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Death Cab for Cutie, Mumford and Sons, ABBA, Queen, The Police, Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, The Housemartins, Kakkmaddafakka and The Whitest Boy Alive which are Norwegian, Stornoway, Moby, Paul Kalkbrenner, Alt-J, Say Yes Dog, Lumineers, Ramones, Two door cinema Club, Waves of Joy, Beirut, Cat Stevens, Crystal Fighters, Metronomy, Milky Chance and many more...
I love Dvoràk's 9th Symphony and I like to hear classical music, as well as Jazz and some electronic. A bit of all, somehow, except metal, and mainly pop. But not the charts.
"Chop Suey" by SOAD is great :D (you don't call it metal, do you?)
Loved the books by John Green
I also like Frank Schätzing
Life of Pi
George's Secret Key to the Universe
Le Petit Prince 🤴
Many films... I'm definitely no film-freak - although I like to watch them :))
No secret star here, sorry.
"Happiness is only real when shared" - Alex Supertramp! (- Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I almost died at the age of 3 weeks due to a heart disease... It's no achievement. But it's amazing I live. I love it!
Achievement? So far I cycled all the way to Norway beginning right on my doorstep!
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to try out canoeing and fishing. I'll be filming some documentary-thingy on my journey to keep contact with my friends and family. Always looking for nice shots and advices or pro tips (and WiFi :D).
I can try to teach some German if wished. And as I wrote down below I enjoy cooking!
Maybe you would like to do some wild camping and join me on the bike for a few days? If I had a place to put my bike and a proper backpack I'd love to go hiking, as well!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to bring some food, share recipes and cook together.
