Overview
About Me
Hi I'm Frieder.
After many years of studying social work and doing different social and practical jobs, I decided to cut loose my comfort zone and go for travels. Something that exists beyond borders, cultures and religions was calling me. Places to arrive were eco and communal projects on the land route from Germany to Uganda / East Africa. It was a lot about learning and sharing!
After one and a half years of travelling I live a fairly sustainable and relaxed lifestyle in Freiburg. I try to live minimalistic and simple. I meditate to calm down my mind and go into nature a lot. I listen to loads of music and going out with friends gives me goosebumps. Especially on underground Techno parties.
I like to work with my hands, that's when I feel lively. I am animal-loving and passionate about the outdoors, surfing, exploring nature and any kind of team activity/sport. And I’m a social worker in the field of supporting refugees to arrive and integrate to german society.
What I do all day long when I'm not working, is going go for a cup of tea with my friends, do some cooking or just relax by reading books. I enjoy supportive communities where we jam, talk, watch movies, share food and laugh. I'm a person who likes to be around people but defenitely enjoys to be alone sometimes to recharge my batteries.
I do trust people, and like to be honest and caring. I really look forward to the adventure of Couch Surfing, every time I do it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to exchange stories and spend time with people. I also rely on the support and hospitality of others while traveling and visiting projects for voluntary work . Without people hosting me, the trip would not be possible. For this I am very grateful.
