Together with my wife and our two young boys (3 and 1) we are travelling through Europe and Asia with our camper van (not strictly speaking a van but see for yourself) enjoying the summer away from home and showing them what other countries are like. We like to travel around and have been working and studying in different cities and continents. When abroad I enjoy to meet with people and to experience other countries. I am always looking for interesting and weird places that don't have to be classical tourist attractions. I've hosted some people in China and have been to the very nice meetings in Nanjing. I like it if you get a deeper insight into the culture and life of a country since this is something even ominpresent Lonely Planet cannot give you.

Centres d'intérêt

Well, obviously I like travelling (my hobby) and I also like science (used to be my work). I think they are very much alike, since both of them are about discovering new things and venturing into the unknown. I also take lots of photos (too many probably) to try to capture the stuff I discovered. I mostly do it abroad but also quite a lot at home. When I got more time at my hands I draw water color pictures. But I am not good at this at all so usually I stick to photography ;)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Flying in a commercial plane on my way to Prague while in the cockpit with a clearly drunk pilot (who let me in) and very much to our luck another pilot who was flying the airplane. Plus the view from the cockpit while high above the clouds.

Tales about our journey. Trivia and fun facts about science: try making a tea with some loose tea leaves in the pot and stir. The leaves are more heavy than the water and will sink to the bottom, but they will not be pushed to the side as one might expect but accumulate in the middle - ever wondered why?
