About Me
My name is Drew. I'm a recovering psychoholic. If I get to know you well enough, I may tell you what that means. I'm a computer nerd with a penchant for software development and writing. I like my eggs deviled, and my cars fast. I'm just getting tuned in, I recently got turned on, and I dropped out years ago.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I use other people's couches, and, one day over the rainbow, when I have one of my own, I'll let them use it, too!
Update: I have since risen over the rainbow, and I now share my couch with others too! :D
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My very first experience was surfing in Washington, DC in January 2009. Me and a friend were there to see Obama's Inauguration. We stayed with awesome hosts who took in about 15 Obama fans for several days. We all went together to the big event on the Mall at dawn (brrrr), and stayed there until the Inauguration was over in the afternoon. It was really one of those tell-your-grandkids experiences.
We also couchsurfed in Chicago later that same year. We were there to see Les Claypool. One of our hosts took us on a tour of the city and recommended we see the Blue Man Group, which we did. We also met an awesome hippie girl, with whom we're planning another CS trip now.
Awesome stuff.
