After growing up in a rather small town in the North of Germany, I decided to go abroad for a year after I finished High School.
In 2015 I worked as an Au Pair (live-in nanny) in a suburb of NYC and traveled across the United States afterwards. Most of the nights during that time I spent couchsurfing. It was an experience I never want to miss.

Sadly I didn't get to host or be hosted ever since. But I#m looking forward to do be doing so again in the near future. I really love travelling to different places, preferably without knowing what exactly I am going to discover.

Other than that I would describe myself as an adventurous person. I love to get to know new people, things, food and places. I am open-minded, happy and kind, but at first maybe a little reserved. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my travels, either while living in the US or in Germany, I had a few opportunities to visit differnet places. But there is so much more to explore than the standard touristics sights. Of course, some of them are a must see, but with other you're better off seeing something insiders are willing to share with you. From experinece I completely agree with that. When in a city a prefer walking the streets withput a map, I'll be where I want to be at some point. There are so many interesting places apart from the city/ tourist center. Meeting up with hosts and staying wit is an amazing experience when travelling alone and to get involved with others.

Interests

I love travelling!

I also love sports, especially swimming and everything else that is related to water (sailing, kayaking, waterskiing), also frozen water (skiing+snowboarding). But bike riding, dancing and the gym is all right, too. I love being active except when I'm read a book. Cooking and baking are my favorites too, I'm always looking forward to someone's birthday so that I can make something really nice ... Just let me know (I'm still not a professional though)
Other hobbies are scrapbooking, arts and crafts, knitting, hanging out with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Whatever feels good at that very moment, sometimes it's oldies, sometimes it's German music and sometimes the most recent songs. I think a playlist containing a bit of everything is the best choice.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some German and some German recipes; and how to swim and knit... There should be something else... maybe I remember it, when I'm staying over at your place.

I want to learn: how other people in different situations live their lives, I wnat to improve my English and other language skills that I don't have yet. Teach me whatever you think is interesting (how to boil a potatoe for example- I can pretend not know how or how to do Yoga or how to take better pictures).. Just let me try! :)
