About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Walk form the most northern tip of Scotland to the southern tip of England.

ABOUT ME

I'm 27 years old,I grew up in the the Wye valley in south Wales and now live in Manchester. After finishing my studies and working for a while I packed up and set off to explore the world! I'm an easy going guy who finds joy in most things(my favourite bird is a sea gull!), and loves to meet people from around the world and have the chance of experiencing new cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

Generally being a good person is the best way to make the world a little better. Also never eat seafood from a vending machine!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In both hosting and surfing I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences. It’s very heart warming to experience genuine warmth and kindness from complete strangers , and it’s just as good giving it back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I find the best way to see an area is with someone who has local knowledge!Couch surfing has also opened up so many experiences and opportunities that otherwise would have passed me by. The best example being teaching an English lesson for a Host in Mongolia , the off shoot of that was for one of the students to invite my friend and myself to stay with her in the family ger / yurt on the steppes. That is something I’ll never forget as long as I live.

Interests

My main interest is scuba diving, being lucky enough to spend 4 1/2 months last year training and working as a dive master in S.E Asia surrounded by amazing sea life and unforgettable people. I also enjoy the great out doors recently finishing Tasmania's overland track which was absolutely breath taking. I also love to cooking and writing. At the moment I’m also working on a children’s book with an illustrator friend of mine , although admittedly I haven’t looked at it in a fair few months!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most kinds of music and find it hard to answer when people ask me what my favourite is, I always vaguely say " ermm a wide range really!". Although I do have a Banjo collecting dust in the U.K and have started to play the didgeridoo which is a phenomenal instrument to playn and great fun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have all done amazing things, but I would rather share my stories and listen to others rather than list my own. Nobody enjoys that!

Countries I’ve Visited
