About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience and document the world
ABOUT ME
I love to walk around and explore new cities, I love live performance, dancing, cooking improvisation, talking about taboo subjects such as race, religion and money. My favorite magazines to read are Atlantic Monthly, Harpers Monthly, Vanity Fair and the New Yorker. I am a National Public Radio junkie. I love wandering and serendipity. I am, unfortunately, a bit neurotic about cleanliness. I love being good to folks who are good to me. And I love learning in (almost) every capacity.
PHILOSOPHY
You get what you give out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If you host me, I will cook you dinner, help you with an art project, sing in your band, listen to your poetry and play Trivial Pursuit with you. One day, I hope to be able to host a CouchSurfer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only couch-surfed on actual friends' couches before.
Interests
volleyball, reading, art, writing, West African Dance (I'm not very good), Tango (not very good), Salsa (bet you can guess), food, live music, videography, films.

Music, Movies, and Books
I once had a friend ask me if I would choose having all books banned from the universe if that meant keeping her as a friend. She didn't like my answer and we're not really that close anymore.
I'll read anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Grand Canyon is awesome. Washington, DC is grand, sweeping and a bit sterile. NYC is enormous, cluttered and frenzied. My City By The Bay of San Francisco is a jewel of a town. Berlin is so cool and full of artistic energy. Barcelona is beautiful and manages to seem at once ancient and modern. Madrid is grand and somewhat forbidding. The Amazon has the most intense shades of green--and some of the largest spiders I've ever seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmmm... let's discuss this one one-on-one... I'm open to anything.
