About Me

CURRENT MISSION

feel the sun every day.

ABOUT ME

I live in the Eug, like to bike around town, sometimes with my pup. I work at the Youth Farm over in springfield, which means I work with folks in the community and kids from the neighborhood and local schools and university students and folkd of all ages, to grow food for the food bank and neighbors. We all learn everyday! For this, I am very lucky. Everyday is new, the plants change, the sky changes, and we can watch it all. I love having my hands in the dirt, at work and outside of it. In the evenings, there is sometimes fun, toe-tapping music to enjoy, or else walking by the river, or just making yummy food with friends.

I am a wanderer at heart, stationary right now, but plotting my next travels and always keen to listen to others' stories of adventure and life wisdom.

PHILOSOPHY

this life..it is just an illusion. how great!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed before, met up with some couchy folks in various cities, too, met people in other setting who end up connected through this. I remember first hearing of this years ago in Guate from this German dude, that maybe i should try to get in contact with again through this thing...However i love how this makes the world a smaller place and connects us individuals in a positive way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Always been good. It is great to connect with people, how amazing to open your home to a stranger? and enjoy a genuineness of good people. Shrinks the world down a little.

Interests

Growing plants and learning from them and other who know about them. Music, Movies, and Books

music you get lost in trying to hear all that's going on...bluegrass, blues, gospel, country, funk, rock, rap...all of it. all kinds of books. but not in the summer..the rain brings me into my introspective body and then i can look at the the books. i like lately the alan watts, wendell berry, tom robbins, kurt vonegut.i love wandering the library and just picking random books and reading them through if they are good, but bringing em back if they bore me by page 15. i like the quirky comedies, wes anderson movies, documentaries. movies that are different, same old story but in a brand new way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh man...so many wonders. Canyons of Utah always top the list. That is my spirit home. Spending winters in the Western US, just wandering. Digging Maya ruins in Beliez (official business, of course). Seeing those crazy temples. The ocean. Both sides. Watching kids see the grand canyon for the first time. Watching someone realize how a potato grows.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to garden and grow food and prune trees, but am always learning more. I can cook and preserve food in various ways for the winter and/or the Apocalypse. I know how to make friendship bracelets.I want to learn more yoga poses and practice discipline to get my body and mind to move into the poses.
