À propos de moi

**PLEASE READ IT THROUGH**

I've met amazing people on Couchsurfing and I've enjoyed answering queries from travellers about this country and its charm. Recently, I've been replying to thousand of messages asking about job seeking, business opportunities, visas, investment among several silly requests. Please BEAR IN MIND this is a social network for travellers and people eager to travel and discover new places. I simply HAVE NO IDEA about job offers, working permits, visa regulations and other stuff I'm not familiarised with. There are blogs and other websites where you might find useful answers to your queries. Thanks for your understanding.

CURRENT MISSION

Love is the action of serving people without any desire to receive anything back.

ABOUT ME

I describe myself as a young talented guy with a very positive outlook and always willing to learn something new everyday. I am passionate about learning new languages and regional culture. I am loyal to loyals, I am a master and an apprentice, protector of what I want and just in the elemental. As a teacher I have a big principle: Teach your kids enough to complain but not enough to make a difference :) And as an apprentice I have another one: Read things that don't matter, then write papers saying they do matter, for points that don't matter, in order to get a job doing something totally unrelated :-)

ABOUT THE PLACE WHERE I CAN HOST YOU

I have a cosy flat in a very residential area in Muscat (Madinat Sultan Qaboos). Please see the photos on my profile to have an idea of the place I can offer you. Nearby you can find three local supermarkets where you can get whatever you need. Recently, they opened a small shopping centre, which has got a decent food court, shops, and cafes. If you like walking, there is a beautiful public beach not far from here (Grand Hyatt Beach), next to a hotel where you can have some beers in a quiet pub inside it. You can even go walking and reach Shatti Al Qurum, where you could find decent local food restaurants & hotels (Intercontinental, Ramada & Crowne Plaza) I don't have very strict rules in my flat. Only the basic and common sense stuff. If you use the kitchen & bathroom, please leave them in the same condition you found it. As you know Oman is a Muslim country and since we are expats, we have to respect the local customs. So that means, it won't be a good idea to organise parties, gatherings or any other type of social activity that could disturb my neighbours. Most of them are expats too but others are locals, so they might get annoyed because of that. If you rent a car, I can give you access to the basement to park it, so that will make your life easier. In case you need to wash your clothes, you can also use the washing machine and all the appliances in the flat. But PLEASE leave them in the same condition you would like to find them in your house.

PHILOSOPHY

There are three sides to any argument: your side, my side and the right side.

Centres d'intérêt

I used to go off-roading a lot here in Oman. If you need a piece of advice about places to go and how to reach them, I will be more than happy to provide you a good off-road guide and my sat-nav system. This will make things easier since some areas do not have mobile data coverage.
I enjoy cooking and watching old Italian comedies. I love NY Salsa and Latin American beats, so bear that in mind! :) However, I am open minded about music and I accept and value any other elaborated type of music.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I value the good elaborated music, nature is my inspiration and art is my source of knowledge to fill the importances of life. I love salsa music, latin beats and rhythms. I enjoy reading classic literature and of course classic and historical movies.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Diving with sharks in the Caribbean, skydiving in Dubai, parachuting in Italy, riding a hot air balloon in the USA

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Since I have been a language teacher for almost ten years, I am more than happy to help you out polishing up your English, Spanish & basic Italian. Sometimes I could ''annoy'' you with some advice I usually give. Feel free to interrupt me if you don't want them ;)
I would like to learn something from your country (e.g. food, music, customs, society, culture). That's the best way we can learn how to be more tolerant.
