About Me

As most of those who have traveled and those who are in this community I love meeting new people.
I might be quiet at first, as I have proved to be a little shy sometimes, especially if there are loads of people I don't know. But I'm a big thinker (or like to think I am) and enjoy deep conversations on subjects from technologies, photography, politics, series, movies, sports. Ex-football addicted, these days I watch it seldom. Still enjoying watching well played matches and love to play it, even though I do it also seldom . Actually I have just started playing futsal with some guys at the association L'overture. If you like playing it too, I could bring you along on Monday's night). Also enjoy other sports like running, cycling, swimming.

I learned that you can't judge someone else for thinking different from you. So I enjoy listening other people's opinions and think about what they have to say. I'm interested in what made/why they think that way.
I'm currently working on my communication skills to have better, more constructive conversations.

Love food, especially trying new things. It's hard to find a type of food I don't like. I'm not so excited about sweet food though.
Enjoying discovering French cuisine tradition and getting a few kilos extra due to increased eating of cheese, charcuterie, bread and bloody hell delicious aperos.
After watching a couple of Top Chef seasons, I sometimes try to incorporate a prestious chef, also know as Hector Etchebest ( to which I pronouce Étch the best, in honor to Philippe, the best) at the Le chef c'est moi (also known as our kitchen).

Love beers. Guinness and IPAs are my favourite. Would love to try a local beer from you country.

Love music. Love discovering music. I've been current trying to listen to as much different genres I can , from as many different countries as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't like to distinguish experiences as good or bad, but rather all as learning experiences. I think it's import to be present, to respect and have consideration for what's around us.
I believe in being positive. Somehow, you end up attracting positive things to you.
I believe in being good to others, don't expect good things back, they will eventually come back to you when you need it.
I've hitchhiked and couchsurfed through many continents to see that the world is better than what's pictured on TV and newspapers. Earth is full of good people, and I try as much as I can to be one more, even though I'm not perfect and make my mistakes too :P

Be funny, smile and don't worry about a thing.

[Favourite quotations]
"If your problem has a solution, then you don't have to worry. If your problem has no solution, all worry will be in vain." - Tibetan proverb

"I love not man the less, but Nature more." - Lord Byron

"Whatever people say I'm, that's what I'm not." - Arctic Monkeys (bare Monkeys in mind ;) )

I sometimes think that if one day you have to write a book about your life, you'll save at least one page to talk about some experiences we shared. As we have so many experiences throughout our lives, I'll know I'm doing my part well in case you choose one experience you had with me to be in one of the pages of your book. And I hope you make it into mine too (:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a surfer, I'm a host and I go to meetings sometimes.
If you ever need a last minute couch, don't hesitate on asking me. Many people have helped me in this kind of situation, so I like to help too as much as possible.
[In case you don't hear back from me soon, try it through other channels. @frohlichcortezh]

I enjoy Couchsurfing as a sense of community and a tool to put us together with great people out there so we can share ideas and experiences to makes us better as people and as a society.
I'm thankful for having met so many truly amazing people through this website, so I try my best to be a good host and guest.

Interests

Almost everything interests me. I'm passionate about learning.

I'll try to list some of the things that I'm paying more attention currently: coding (Golang, node.js, dart, python, MongoDB, Docker, redis, and many other open source tools.), running, series, cooking, biking (and how to fix it).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So nothing worth mention :P haha

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure if I'm able to teach something for someone directly, but I believe you can learn a lot from every single person indirectly. So, if it happens that you learn something from me, I'll be glad.
