About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Seems rhetorical to have a mission 'to get a mission'...
ABOUT ME
Some say I'm a little raw around the edges. Other descriptions would include generous, nice, 'and occasionally suffers from foot-in-mouth'.
*note, occasionally = a lot.*
As my pictures suggest I'm 6 feet tall, lanky, somewhat athletic, incredibly attractive, and humble. (oh, and I have a good sense of humour) ;)
Enough of the pictures, what you wont see in them is all the stuff you'll read below!
Another Note,
Within 2 weeks of signing up, I've already gone and surfed - it was amazing, but I have to rewrite all my profile to remove the 'I look forward to trying this!".
PHILOSOPHY
I got this from my father - "What's the worst that can happen?"
Seriously, if you want something in life, figure out how to get it. If you face a dilemma, ask yourself, "What is the worst that can happen"? When you look at it that way, most downsides aren't really that bad after all!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I really look forward to surfing more often - perhaps when I'm a little more financially stable. Until then I want to give as much as possible, and become a trusted friend in the local community events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Unrelated to CS, one time in Mexico, we got so well acquainted with a taxi driver that he offered HIS HOME to our family to visit and learn about THEIR FAMILY. It was truly inspiring. Staying the night we learned a lot, and had AMAZING non-tourist food, even though for only one night. Downside of course, is we never stayed at the resort for 1 of the 7 days... Less cookie cutter vacation time, more life experience. Shucks.
UPDATE! I just surfed the USA South East - Florida/Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg! Woot!!!
UPDATE #2!!!
I just had my first guest! What an awesome time. I can't wait for more!
Interests
Tinkering with all things tinkerable. I always want to learn more. I want to learn as many languages as possible; The human-babel as it were.
I enjoy Juggling (fire clubs are fun, and not TOO dangerous), regular clubs, knives, balls...anything really.
Video gaming is of course on the menu - between shooters and rhythm games (Dance Dance Revolution etc) theres always some fun to be had.
I wouldn't be here but for the TRAVELING!
Music - I play piano, poorly.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Comedy, including Weird Al etc, and not to mention 'everything', rock, rap, classical, opera, traditional, folk....EVERYTHING!
Movies, must be good movies - I worked at several theaters in the past and I've come to appreciate good flicks here and there.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was lucky enough growing up to have the privilege of traveling. I have seen both coasts of Mexico, Large portions of the USA, and toured across Canada. My Europe experience is limited to Great Britain but I'm hoping to work on that.
Amazing? I got a drunk driver arrested once...
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to juggle. I picked it up at the grocery store growing up playing with oranges. The shop keeps didn't like me very much, but I did it anyway. I did it for the looks on the faces of younger kids smile and tug their moms pant leg saying 'mommy mommy look!'. It's not exactly something you can pick up overnight, but I've taught many of my friends and its a blast.
What I want to learn? Languages. I want to know ALL the languages, to be able to talk to ANYONE in the world on a whim.
Countries I’ve Visited
Mexico, United Kingdom, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
Canada
