Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
LGBTQIA++ Friendly! Welcoming and safe space for all. I love to meet with a variety of people and hear about their lives and cultural exchange. What is your life like? Tell me more!
ABOUT ME
I am often a colorful person. I will often dress up with many colors. I am friends with the local rainbows 🌈 😊
PHILOSOPHY
So much to do and see, yet there is only one of me. I've had to realize and accept I can only do so much.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I open my heart and home for people to share their story. When schedule allows, I enjoy bringing travelers through the city of Portland and experience what you are interested in. Food, adventure, quiet time, musical time, green space, cycling, etc. Let me know what experiences you are looking for!
I am Deaf, and with my implant that helps me hear, I listen more than I talk. And learn more about who I am with.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with some hosts in Sweden (thank you!) I have also spent time with people of different cultural backgrounds (British-English, Kenyan, Canadian, Japanese, to name a few that I've met).
Interests
Having coffee or tea with baked goodies, studying health-related matters, advocate for access to mental health services, talking about human rights, developing medical communities, playing Euro-style board games, spending time outside or inside. Trips through Portland and searching for that hole in the wall place. Looking for new experiences and writing new memories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One? Just one? Here's a few.... I did a solo travel trip for summer-school in Norway for two months. I met with many people from around the world and learned about their health systems in their home country. I finished 2 years of sign language and 2 years of Norwegian. I helped a complete stranger reconsider suicide. I completed a skydiving entourage. I completed a 5.4 freeclimb. I got into a master's program for counseling. Tell me what else a Deaf person can't do.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy new experiences in the city, sharing what its like being a Deaf person in a hearing world, and seeing how people interact.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A place you can call home. You are welcome to be yourself here. I offer respect and kindness, and ask the same. Open communication, please ask for what you want and need.
