ABOUT ME

I am playful, polite, and highly value my friends. Just like anyone I like to smile and laugh. I have a bit of an adventurous spirit and am constantly trying to learn new things and better myself. I believe that everyone has something to offer the world and that education and understanding of our surroundings and each other will greatly improve the issues societies face today. As for Couchsurfing purposes, I think I'm quite easy to get along with, I love animals, I can clean and cook some (and don't mind helping out!), and I have no allergies, I do NOT smoke.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

**I will be unable to host during August and September 2012.**
Right now I am mostly doing lots of traveling, and thus hope to surf and make friends. Perhaps later I can host more. I prefer to host friends, or at least people I have gotten to know some. I would like to make friends and know that they are a good person. My house is not just free hotel to complete strangers.

Things I Love to do: spend time with friends or family, eat delicious food, listen to music, travel and explore, go shopping, go hiking, horseback riding, ski and snowboard, sing and play the piano, bake, dance, go swimming, play tennis, play pool (billiards), play videogames (mostly RPG), study other cultures, have thoughtful conversations, paint my nails....to name a few

Things I Like to do: Watch movies, read, sew, peruse fashion trends, study history, learning how to play the guitar, save money, learn something new, play ping pong, play ultimate frisbee, play badminton....

A couple favorite bands: Blink-182, The Offspring, Flyleaf, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna, Paramore, No Doubt, Rise Against, AC/DC, The Midnight Beast, Kellee Maize. Music Genres I like: Rock, Pop, Punk Rock, Pop-punk, Alternative, House, Hip Hop, Folk, Celtic, Classical, Musical Theatre and Disney, Techno, Dance, Some Rap, very little country.

Some of my favorite books: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Harry Potter Series, The Princess Bride, The Help, Lord of the Rings, Jane Austen, Half the Sky

Some of my favorite movies: Dangerous Beauty, What's Up Doc, Chocolat, Ever After, Wedding Crashers, She's out of my League, Mean Girls, Studio Ghibli and Disney movies. TV: Futurama, Metalocalypse, South Park, What not to Wear, Repo Games, River Monsters and a couple animes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A realization that meant the world to me: Best friends become the part of our family that we choose to have.

Laughing is preferable to crying, although crying is better than feeling nothing at all.

Everytime I see more of the world I am humbled by it's beauty. Everytime I make a new lasting friends I am reminded of how much others can teach you.

There are many memories I have of specific instances and scenes that took my breath away or nurtured my heart, but I doubt I could justly describe any of them. Everyone has their own. Experiences that when explained cannot relay the amount of value it can mean to a person.
