About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm someone who is passionate about life and what I do. I've travelled and lived abroad a lot and enjoy the challenge of navigating my way through different cultures. I've also navigated my way through several different careers to date - for now, I'm a creative marine social science researcher working at the science-policy-arts interface. I've worked with a visual artist for four years and my research brings the arts and social science into marine policy.
I'm open-minded and curious and I am fascinated by the human condition. I always have plenty of interesting stories to tell and I love gathering new stories from people I meet on my travels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had lots of Couchsurfer friends in Glasgow where I lived for 7 years and I loved meeting new Couchsurfers passing through. During 2016 I lived in Haifa (Israel-Palestine) and hosted many great CSers there. Now I've moved back to my hometown, Dublin.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed in Mexico, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Israel and Palestine to date. Other than that my experience has been meeting and hanging out with Couchsurfers in Glasgow, Tel Aviv and Haifa. I'm hugely grateful for the CS network as I have net so many like-minded people through it and I have no doubt that I'll keep meeting even more!

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list here! Suffice to say I'm pretty well read, love art house films and adore gigs where I can dance as if no one is watching!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a month travelling in a cayuco (wooden canoe) down the Usumacinta river in Mexico with a team of intrepid explorers....and got mistaken for a Guatemalan refugee!
Teach, Learn, Share
A love of life!! Scottish and Irish history and politics and anything to do with marine policy and the marine environment!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Interesting chat, especially about politics and the marine environment, a big smile, lots of laughter, good stories, tasty food (I lived in France for 3 years and turned into a foodie while I was there), and generally a lot of sparkle!
