ABOUT ME

20 years old, college student, studying psychology and communication. I hope to go to law school after graduation to work in disability advocacy, or work for a similar cause. Before I become wrinkly and grey though, I'd like to see the world. I figured this website would be a great way to help me do that.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to lead a life dedicated to bettering others. Throughout my life, I've been incredibly grateful for what I have, and want to pursue helping others. Volunteer work has always been a staple in my life, and giving to the community, both on a local and global scale is a passion of mine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolutely none so far. A co-worker of mine was looking at his profile in our staff lounge (really, a log cabin with wireless) and I was intrigued. Next thing I knew, I was creating a profile. Obviously, I'm pretty excited.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Usually what I listen to is on a rotating basis, but on any given day I'll listen to The Strokes, Suburban Legends, Mustard Plug, Jimmy Eat World, Sonic Youth, Jack Johnson Weezer, Super Mash Bros, Brand New, Architecture in Helsinki, Streetlight Manifesto, or the Goo Goo Dolls.

I've often wished I could call myself a movie aficionado, but I lack the memory or free time to do so. Hopefully in the near future I'll have a more open schedule. Movies I've enjoyed are: Garden State, Dazed and Confused, Forrest Gump, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Bourne Identity, Up, 12 Angry Men, Star Wars, Sin City, Lord of the Rings (all 3), Spirited Away, Back to the Future, Stand By Me, Back to the Future, and The Breakfast Club.

Like with movies, I don't have as much time as I'd wish to read. Books I've been able to read that interested me include Lord of the Rings (all 3 again), the Harry Potter series, 1984, There Are No Children Here, the Redwall series, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, The Jungle, and Fast Food Nation.

I'm also going to include TV shows here, since this seems like the most appropriate place. I like watching Dexter, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Modern Family, Arrested Development, The Office, Cowboy Bebop, and Scrubs. Law and Order: SVU marathons are pretty great to watch, but not when I have work to do.
