About Me

Hello! My name is Fuad, and I’m originally from Baku, Azerbaijan. I studied journalism, but my greatest passion lies in exploring the world, learning about new cultures, and building connections with people from diverse backgrounds.

Traveling is not just a hobby for me—it’s a way of life. I believe every journey brings a chance to discover new perspectives, taste unique cuisines, and immerse myself in the traditions of different communities. I also love helping travelers experience the best of my country by sharing local insights, traditions, and hidden gems.

Apart from traveling, I have a deep interest in music, movies, and books. I also enjoy photography, video editing, and digital marketing, which allow me to express my creativity and document my adventures.

Whether you’re visiting my city or hosting me in yours, I look forward to sharing stories, learning from each other, and creating unforgettable memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing, to me, is much more than a platform for finding a place to stay—it’s a community that connects people through shared experiences and cultural exchange.

I joined Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and learning about their cultures, traditions, and perspectives. I believe that the best way to truly understand a country is through its people, and Couchsurfing provides the perfect opportunity for that.

When I host, I aim to create a warm, welcoming environment where travelers feel at home. When I travel, I use Couchsurfing to connect with locals who can show me their city in a way no guidebook ever could. It’s about creating authentic connections that last beyond a single trip.

Interests

I have a wide range of interests that keep me engaged, inspired, and curious about the world.

First and foremost, I am deeply passionate about music. It serves as a source of inspiration and comfort, whether I’m relaxing or seeking motivation. I also have a strong interest in cinema and storytelling.

When it comes to creative pursuits, I am fascinated by photography, video editing, and design. Capturing moments and transforming them into meaningful visuals is something I truly enjoy. I am constantly looking to enhance my skills in these areas, whether it’s through experimenting with new techniques or learning from others.

Additionally, I have a keen interest in travel, culture, and languages. Exploring new countries, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and learning about their traditions and ways of life excite me. I’m currently learning Spanish, Italian, and French to deepen my understanding of different cultures.

Lastly, I am intrigued by digital marketing and social media. I find it fascinating how these tools connect people and create opportunities for collaboration and innovation. Staying updated on the latest trends in technology and marketing is something I actively pursue.

Overall, my interests reflect my love for creativity, learning, and meaningful connections. If we share similar passions or if you’d like to teach me something new, I’d be thrilled to chat or collaborate!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a huge part of my life, and I have a deep appreciation for both classical and contemporary genres. My favorite composers include Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninov, and one of my all-time favorite pieces is Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. I also enjoy modern artists like Coldplay, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and John Lennon.

When it comes to movies, I’m a fan of powerful and thought-provoking stories. Some of my favorites are The Pianist, Schindler’s List, The Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather, and series like Vikings and La Casa de Papel.

As for books, I love exploring classic literature. Les Misérables by Victor Hugo is a masterpiece that has inspired me deeply. I also admire The Diary of Anne Frank for its heartfelt narrative and Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment for its profound exploration of human nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most remarkable experiences I’ve had is immersing myself in the world of music. From classical masterpieces by Beethoven and Rachmaninov to the vibrant tunes of modern artists, music has been my constant companion throughout my life.

Another amazing thing I’ve done is traveling to various countries, where I’ve had the chance to learn from locals, experience their way of life, and share my culture in return. These experiences have taught me the value of understanding, empathy, and the universal language of human connection.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe cultural exchange is one of the most enriching experiences in life. I’d be delighted to teach you Turkish or Azerbaijani and share insights about the rich history, traditions, and cuisine of my country.

In return, I’m eager to learn Spanish, Russian, and Italian, as well as anything else you’d like to teach me—whether it’s a new recipe, a dance, or a favorite phrase in your language.

I also enjoy sharing my knowledge of music, literature, and travel tips. If there’s something you’d like to learn about photography, video editing, or social media, I’d be happy to share what I know.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I always try to bring something special to the table. I can cook delicious Azerbaijani and Turkish meals, share fun and engaging games, and bring unique gifts from the places I’ve visited.

I’m happy to help with housework, assist in any small projects you might have, or simply share meaningful conversations over a cup of tea or coffee. I always bring positive energy, curiosity, and a genuine interest in getting to know my hosts. Whether it’s a lively discussion about culture or a quiet evening of sharing stories, I’m adaptable and eager to make every experience enjoyable.
