ABOUT ME

I've traveled quite a lot in the last 10 years (i spent 2009-2012 permanently on the road) & it's usually spontaneous trips, living in vans, hitch hiking & other 'alternative' ways of traveling that get me really excited...

At the moment i call Bristol (England) my home... I come & go but i feel at peace here & if i'm around, i'm happy to host people &/or show you about...

It's a real pleasure being able to offer the hospitality & warmth that has been granted to me during my travels. Having been on many a couch, i know how awesome it is to stay with a good host :)

I also look forward to surfing a few couches when i have adventures outside of Bristol...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosting & hosted for years through the truly incredible travelers network which is as much a family to me as my own flesh & blood. This inspired me to join 'CS' to see how many other wonderful experiences i could have with a broader range of people. It still seems most of my couch surfing is done by less formal means (there's generally a friend of a friend most places i end up) but i'd like to explore this community more...

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy foreign, art house & independent films (that doesn't mean i don't like the occasional trashy movie!). I volunteer at a small community cinema in Bristol called the Cube. Check it out here: http://www.cubecinema.com

I LOVE music & have far ranging tastes depending on my mood & the scenario i'm in. I'm really bad at remembering names of bands, albums & songs which makes it a little difficult to communicate what my ears like...

I like to read but don't seem to do this as often as i'd like. Books about traveling are often found inside my bed...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked the Annapurna circuit for a month in Nepal, reaching a pass of over 5400 meters. This was my first trekking effort & very challenging but incredibly rewarding. I'm still in awe of the incredible people & scenery i encountered there..... No doubt, some of the best in the world!

I practice reiki & am always happy to share this wonderful gift with people...

I have a CELTA English teaching certificate & can help you with your studies or English practice if you're interested to learn...

I can teach you how to ride a bike... sew... hula hoop... hitch hike... milk a goat... make shakshuka... plant a tree...
