ABOUT ME

I am a very simple, friendly, easy-going guy who loves to travel and make friends all over the world. Ultimately, I would like to have friends in as many countries as possible. I am from India and currently working/living in Bangalore. I work in product management for a SAAS company. I want to see as many places as I can and experience them like a local. Please drop in a few lines if you are interested to catch up.

I have stayed with some wonderful people in the past and now looking forward to meet a few nice people for coffee sightseeing etc. when I travel and hopefully return the favour in my city :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with Todd in Denver for a weekend and it was a wonderful experience. Another weekend with Kodi in St Louis simply convinced me that I could keep doing this forever! Then I stayed in Glasgow with Ben, my first international CS host! followed by Mynah from Montreal... all wonderful experiences. I have also met many people from CS when I visited their cities, it's all been great so far. Took a break from CS for a while and am giving it a shot again.

Traveling - absolutely love it! Been to about 40 countries so far and with every new place visited I realize there is so much more to see, and so little time.
Recent addition: experimenting with brewing coffee at home in different ways.

Music, Movies, and Books

Couple of years ago I set myself a new year goal of reading a book every week. And I am proud to say that I have so far stuck to it more or less. I read mostly non fiction, biographies, business, leadership, product management and the occasional fictional works.
My taste in movies is not genre based. I like a movie as long as it's well made and has a good screenplay. Some of my favorite ones would be City of Gods, Life is Beautiful, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, The Usual Suspects, Dinner Game, Memento, Terminator II, Titanic, Forrest Gump...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's a hard one to pick. How do you choose one amongst seeing a polar bear family on the sea ice, a lion pride or a crocodile making a kill in front of your eyes in Africa or seeing a full moon rise and sunset at the same time over the endless salt flats of Salar de Uyuni?

Teach, Learn, Share

Photography: Not a professional by any means, but I do know quite a bit about photography and have taught classes in school and outside to help people get started with it, and have won a couple of awards.
Indian food: I am a good cook, that's what people who eat my food say. And I make really good tea and coffee.
Ballroom Dancing: I know the basics of some of the ballroom dances but my favourites are Waltz and Tango!
Astronomy: I can identify a lot of different constellations, stars and planets in the sky, so if you are interested, I can show you around (the night sky that is!)
Finally... if you want to discuss shop and want to bounce around some product/startup ideas.
