About Me
Hi! I am Fulya. I was born and raised in Izmir, Turkey. 5 years ago, i moved to Istanbul for my university education. Recently, i completed my Psychology undergraduate study, officialy i am a psychologist. However, i am at the same time still a student because i am a double-major student, my second major is nutrition&dietetics. I still have two years left to be done with that. I am 23 years old. I love travelling (like all people on CS:), even living in different parts of the world in short period of times (2 months- 6 months) going out with my friends, expanding my knowledge in all areas. I try to enjoy my life in each and every second. I see myself as very open-minded, easygoing, outgoing and friendly person. I love to chat with different people about various topics (politics, music, books, parties) I love going for music festivals all over the world. Besides, i like reading novels while listening to my fav sets :) Also, i am a big fashion addict.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have just finished my exchange semester abroad and returned back from Amsterdam. ++ (I love Amsterdam so much that it has a special place in my heart, i even got a "XXX" tattoo on my arm hahahaha) :) Moreover, personally i love meeting new people, making new friends from all over the world and expanding my network. I feel like i can learn various things from each person and improve myself. I love exchanging ideas, feelings, happy moments with the others. Especially, after living abroad for 6 months, i decided to spend more time on CS as i noticed that i have gained a lot for my personal development. Lastly, i hosted some of my exchange friends here in Turkey and i noticed that i really enjoyed the time spent with them, while i was trying to help them and guide them. They were all very nice experiences. So, i feel like through CS, i can again try to help travellers coming to Turkey and make amazing memories to remember.
++ Last summer 2016 in June, i and my best friend from Japan (we met in Amsterdam during exchange semester), decided to meet up and go travelling together for 2 weeks. And we met in Malta airport after 6 months, and we did Couchsurfing together for 10 days in Malta. Afterwards, we went to Rome, Italy together for a week and again we met awesome people there thanks to Couchsurfing. I still can not forget those 14 days, it was such a nice experience. Thats why once again i understand how amazing CS is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two amazing things i have done that now i can easily recall are living in Mexico for 1.5 months and living in the Netherlands for 6 months. These two experiences helped me shape my personality. I noticed the capacity in myself while i was living in two different culture and with the people that are totally different from my culture. I also experienced that pure feeling once i became real best friends with the people from all over the world.
