About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Teaching German at USAC university in Guatemala City

ABOUT ME

I think they would say..."I'd like to see him again, having a nice conversation, maybe a glass of wine...so by the way do you know when he's coming back?" Surely that wasn't all.

PHILOSOPHY

Changes every day. I don't think there is "One" philosophy, but as soon as I think, there has to be something. But I'm not only thinking...dideldum

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Offering couch, using sofa.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I used Hospitality Club. Some convenient couches around there...I had quite good experiences and I think with Couchsurfing it should be quite the same...

Interests

living (or at least trying), a bit more in detail: good cuisine and learning about the ingredients and the way of combining them...exploring, eyes wide open...the things that grab my attention are the beauty/aesthetics in the world experienced and observed with my own senses...

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots may be interesting if u take your time. Books are dangerous, as soon they are in reach u may read (but I can say books about cars aren't that interesting to me). I'd 300 times prefer a manual about the OS Ubuntu (especially because sometimes being in need of it)
Here some of me:
Music:
Saalschutz
The Strokes, Hives, Killers, Kooks,...
Mando Diao
Beatsteaks
Gentleman
Tiken Jah Fakoly
Manu Chao
Zaz
Sixto Rodriguez
Ojos de Brujo
HK et les Saltimbanques
La Rue Ketanou
Jack Johnson
Calle 13
Bob Marley
Air
Nouvelle Vague
Amalia Rodriguez
Block Party
In special occasions: Raeggeton, Cumbia, Tigres del Norte, La Mosca, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs
Antonin Dvorak (New World Symphony), Grieg, ...

Books:
Murphy: Power of your subconscious mind
Popol Vuh,
Erich Fromm: Kunst des Liebens (Art of Love/Loving)
Right now I begun: Cuisine de Reference, but It's a highly sophisticated book, many tecnical terms, as to say la haute cuisine francaise
Le petit prince - El principito - O principezinho - Der kleine Prinz (I read them all, good for language learning and to rethink critically the points of the author)
Freire: Pedagogie des Opprimes, Pedagogia da Autonomia (Reading still)
Tolkien
Books about martial arts

The official Ubuntu Book 6th. Edition :) (Havent really read it, only excerpts for solving problems)
Shoninki: L'authentique manuel des ninjas
Osho: Liebe, Freiheit, Alleinsein
Keret: Extrañando a Kissinger
You may add so much more (especially linguistical, historical, philosophical books), though I just want to think on my own. Sometimes I say to myself (its one of my personal sayings):

All this assumed great thinkers/writers may right now sit on a cloud, maybe Aristotle next to Kant and Erasme in front of Baudelaire, looking down on earth (maybe they're not sitting on a cloud because this is quite a simple conception and maybe they would also see a lot of chaos), but I think they would give a lot to change with me, to come back, even for five minutes. Because I'm alive, Living and I.
Non fui, fui, non sum, non curo. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

...for example the moments I had with the participants on tours with (so-called) handicapped people - both us we may share so much. I can't be more child or myself there. I also like rolling through the streets of any city with a longboard...breathing, observing, smiling...ah before I forget: J'aime le Crottin de Chavignol (this is one example, a human heart may give beauty and sweetness to so much things, as cheese, hehe)

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, England, France, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
