About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I pride myself on being an adventurer and this is my greatest adventure yet.

ABOUT ME

An adventurer, a lover of life, a talented artist. I am a person of passion and I am looking to experience everything this world has to offer. I'm always looking for new horizons and trying to find ways to better myself.

I used my Navy experience to land a great job in marine electronics, I worked for a private company for 3 years. I installed, maintained, serviced, troubleshot, and gave instruction on all electronics typically found on a boat/ship. It was a great job, everyday was different and I got to work on the water but I kind of just got bored with it and wanted something more, something that captured my passion. I quit and took some time to myself, it was then that I discovered crystal/gemstone jewelry making - I've been hooked ever since.

PHILOSOPHY

Be true to yourself. If you can look deep within your own soul and know that your actions are just and good then no one can tell you that you are wrong. Pursue that which makes you happy. No matter how far you've come with your spiritual growth and development, there is always room for improvement.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Love to make wire-wraps for my hosts! Also, I'm becoming quite the jack-of-all-trades (I'm a surgeon with power tools!) and I would love to share my skills with my hosts. I love learning new skills and trades and I love building things. Recently I built a cool wood deck, a fence gate, renovated a boat, did some dry-walling, and installed cabinets.

Anyone want me to build you a treehouse!? I've been dying to build one after I finished the deck. Plus, my dad is a wood-worker and apparently I got some of his blood.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was turned on to couchsurfing at the beginning of the summer of 2011 when I moved to Denver, Co. I became active and attended mixers. For a good part of the summer I travelled Colorado with a friend and couch-surfed with many different people in the Denver area - what a wonderful and amazing experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most recently I've read the teachings of don Juan by Carlos Castaneda. Really fascinating stuff. I'm getting very into Osho as well. Musicwise: electronic, rock, reggae, just about anything live that's good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got to take an ancient to medieval art course while in the Navy, then got to see hundreds of the art pieces in person at the Leuvre in Paris! My favorites are Nike de Samothrace and the Assyrian Lamassu's. Mona Lisa is overrated lol.

Teach, Learn, Share

Jewelry, Handmade Jewelry, Wire-wrapping, Prospecting, Gem Mining, Permaculture, Wood-Working, Carpentry, Power tools, electronics, unique life perspective.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My vast knowledge of gems and minerals. My process of creating unique works of art and I'm happy to give some lessons. I also mentioned I'm quite the handyman.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Malta, Mexico, Oman, Poland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Indonesia, New Zealand, United States
