Our home's in Dama, an hour down Kings Road from Rakiraki, ten minutes past the last electrical pole... We're a flighty, carefree couple, reunited by Facebook five years ago after two decades apart... one Canadian expat techie, one Fiji-born Canadian artist and designer, back after 30 years.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Whenever in the city, we stay with family... as long as they're not away at weddings, funerals and such (which is often)! For other times it would be great to meet a few people we can trust and share good conversation with. And if there's real folks out there looking for the authentic back-to-nature tropical frontier experience, we've got that up to the eyeballs!

We're interested in indigenous cultures and orature, rural education, off-grid living and sustainable development.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The sad truth is it's amazing how many folks are trying to get off this island, and just as amazed anyone would 'want this life.' Don't you read the papers, people? This is 'Paradise!'
