ABOUT ME

I am often told that I am a little eccentric, but I hope that this is in a good way! I am pretty open minded and my main motivation for joining couchsurfing is to continue on with the amazing experiences that I have already had through travelling to places with a personal connection, and through meeting diverse types of people in my own hometown. I am very English, but I also can't help being influenced by the many cultures around me...

I don't know whether my love for languages or for cultural travel came first in my life, but I do know that they are my main passions and inform most things I do! I was so lucky to 'study' Erasmus in Urbino, Italy, and I also spent a few months in the south of Italy a few years ago. Since then I have been to some amazing places, including Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Quito, the Galapagos and Tokyo, mostly staying on the floor of friends and family, which I think is the best way to get to know a culture more intimately than through staying in a hotel.

PHILOSOPHY

We have to take every opportunity to do something different and new, to lead us to unexpected places. Sometimes I look back at things which happen in life, and realise that the most random things can lead to unexpected results..

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have taken part in and hosted a kitchen surfing event where I attempted to disprove the myth that British food is terrible! I have also met up with and taken CS members on trips around the area and hope to continue doing so! I am now new in London so hoping to get to know the city like the back of my hand along with other curious souls. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met a few couchsurfers to MK, and also participate in the MK couchsurfing group.
