CURRENT MISSION

I travel so that I can better understand the world and its people. I think the path to world peace is through exposure to other cultures. Everybody has a story I can learn from. I want to go anywhere, and keep learning until the day I die.

ABOUT ME

I live a modest life in Lansing, Michigan. I've lived in Nevada, Hawai'i, and California as well. I use what resources I have to travel, learn, put out records, and record local bands for cheap. I'm in a band too, but so is everybody, right? I'm really close to my family and friends. I'm not really religious. I don't party too hard. I still manage to have a pretty good time.

PHILOSOPHY

I would be lying if I said this doesn't change from day to day. I am slightly more often enthusiastic and optimistic than I am cynical, so that's good I think. One thing I know is that I have a lot to learn.

I participate by sleeping on other people's couches and letting them sleep on mine. That's why we're here, right?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed through the UK and loved it! I continue to use it here in the states and it has never failed to connect me with awesome people!

Centres d'intérêt

Besides music and travel, I'm pretty obsessed with politics, from local politics to world events. I also love hunting and fishing and camping and hiking, etc.. And gardening. I think it's important to know where your food comes from. Observing the natural world has informed a lot of my beliefs. I also love to sail, and have a little 13' sailboat.

My life has been a series of amazing events, and I feel fortunate. I need to remember that at all times. One recent milestone is that I have now been to all 50 states. North Dakota was #49, and Alaska was #50!
