I love traveling and I love visitors. I was inspired by my grad school friends who were always hosting couchsurfers. The whole experience just seems like a wonderful reminder that human beings are good!

The Oaks is the female horse race held right before the Kentucky Derby in Louisville. There is a drink that goes along with the Oaks, called an Oaks Lily. (So an Oaks Lily is something of a "sister drink" to the Mint Julep.) You can make it with vodka, sweet and sour mix, cranberry juice, and triple sec.
