ABOUT ME

I am a Dutch student, currently in my fifth year at the University of Technology in Delft. After graduating high school, I spent a year travelling the world, together with one of my friends and I asked her this question. So here follows a description of me written by my friend:

The reason why we are travelling together is that I can really trust her and she is always there for you. Not just for me, but for everyone. She makes a very wise impression and she is very mature. Not too mature of course, because she is still very fun;) She has this "dry" humour and she's very funny. So you can describe Fuuk as a very reliable person who is always in for a nice conversation. She likes to discuss many subjects and she likes it even more when it turns out she is completely right about something.
She is also the kind of person with whom you can laugh about the most silly things, it is very easy to feel at ease with Fuuk around you. She also likes to sleep and she is not the "morning-type". But when she's woken up, she loves doing active things, like hiking and cycling so that she can explore the environment and city. On the other hand, you can also make her very happy with a good book and a cup of tea.

From here on it's me again. I love to travel (like everyone else on CS probably) but try to avoid the typical tourist attractions. Of course it's fun to see the highlights of a place, but interactions with people there are the things that make or break a holiday for me. I'd rather go have a drink at a local bar/pub and have an interesting conversation than climb the eiffel tower or take a picture from the london eye.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couchsurfed that much yet, but the times I did it were really cool. I love how you get to know a place so much better if you're staying in a not-backpacker location and everybody I've met so far was so friendly and welcoming. I hope to experience a lot more couchsurfing in the future.

Interessen

I love playing the piano, reading (I forget about everything around me when I'm reading a good book), jogging (occasionally), hanging out with my friends, going out (dancing!), and I also love board games, although I'm told that I want to win a bit too much ;)
