About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Have fun, learn some and have some more fun
ABOUT ME
I live in Haarlem with my boyfriend since a few years now. However, I have been moving from house to house, from city to city and even from country to country since i was born. I lived most of my live in Holland but i have also studied half a year in Valencia, Spain, a few months in Lubango, Angola and 3 months in Arusha, Tanzania. I worked for Kenian and Tanzanian companies (set up by dutch, but still) for three years. I have visited these countries many time. In 2011 I got a full time job in Arusha, Tanzania where i have lived for a year. that was fantastic! I went to visit a friend in Serbia while couch surfing from Holland. I accidentally got a job in his company and staid in Belgrade for 3 months. I like to be in different places and meet different people and get to know different cultures. The world is fascinating and i want to see more and learn more and if possible help others with what i've seen and learned. My nickname i got from some collegues of mine in Africa is 'the traveling lady'...
PHILOSOPHY
don't judge. it can actually be very hard to define what is good and bad, and it is even harder to define who's fault it is (if there is any 'fault' at all), so just don't judge.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been traveling from Holland to Belgrade by couch surfing. Now i'm back in Holland and got a job and a place to live. I would still like to meet other people whenever I have time. Unfortunately my apartment is not that big, hosting people is a bit difficult.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My neighbour in Arusha is a cs host and he had guests about every week. they would cook dinner and would sometimes have too much or too little food so they invited my housemate and me to help which normally ended up in some kind of party. It was always a lot of fun and i found it really interesting to meet all these people from everywhere. So now i decided to join too!
Interests
i'm interested in music (almost every kind), food (mainly south european) and traveling. I love skiing (i've even been a ski teacher twice, i'm still proud of that :)). I like getting to know other people and their life stories, interests and the way they look at things. I love to party but not seven days a week. I also enjoy reading a book once in a while.

Music, Movies, and Books
movies depends on the mood. sometimes i just want to see a simple chickflick, sometimes i enjoy action or drama more. I don't really have one favourite movie.
Music; i love coldplay, heather nova, dire straits and supertramp. However, when having a party I enjoy the common party music more like david guetta.
Books; i like educational books like 'freaconomics' and 'Being Wrong: Adventures In The Margin Of Errors' and also 'Alice in Wonderland' :P
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i've been to 'Tunda Vala' in Lubango, Angola. It is so beautiful! I can't describe it, you just have to see it yourself...!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some (dutch) cooking and dutch language if you are really determined to learn it (and you need to be really determined to learn it, because it is a complete irregular and impossible language).
I like to learn anything, especially in cooking and the nice places to go in/around the town you are living in.
I am willing to share any knowledge and information i have.
