ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Nick Sloper. This summer myself and three fellow college students are riding our bicycles coast to coast for an organization called Falling Whistles. Falling Whistles is a campaign for peace in Democratic Republic of Congo currently working to rehabilitate over 400 women and children affected by the world's deadliest war since World War II.

Our tour will be moving from city to city, moving from Washington DC to Los Angeles over a three month journey and may be passing through your city! If you are interested in holding a speaking event in your area or putting up three bikers for an evening, send us a message and we can work it out!

This year our goal is to gain support for Free and Fair elections. On November 27, 2011 the Democratic Republic of Congo is holding its second democratic elections. Historically, a state's second elections set the tone for the path on which the country will travel. A successful and peaceful transfer of power is key to the democratic future of the Democratic Republic of Congo. We are going to be using this tour to spread awareness about Congo and to gain support in our efforts to ensure that these elections are indeed free and fair. We currently hold the support of well-known figures including Beyonce, Rihanna, Gwenyth Paltrow and Jon Stewart just to name a few, and we would love to gain your city's support.
