ABOUT ME

I like attention, conversation, delicious food, being alone when I need it, and people. I've had to travel since I was a kid, and I'd say that the experience that defined me most was and is trying to balance the cultures of two countries, Russia and the US. I'm one of those heavily introspective types. One of my favorite things is meeting people who just like to talk, and for whom the communication is truly focused on the ideas discussed, not on the interpersonal situation. I feel like that's quite rare, although something might be wrong with my perspective.

I am always wrong. I have a habit of forgetting it though.

Once in Ukraine and twice in Korea.

these things change a lot, so I'm hesitant in making a list. What probably will not change is: a picture of dorian gray, a hundred years of solitude, the hornblower series (haven't reread that in ages, i hope i still love it), for whom the bell tolls. some of bergman's movies, the Rock, Russian movies like Ne Gorui, Ostrov, Beloye Solntse Pustyni. Devendra Banhart, tom waits, sometimes people tchaikovsky or mozart, the offspring, sometimes people like Vysotskii, Okudzhava, DDT, Kino.
