ABOUT ME

We are Evan (age: 26) and Kristen (age: 25) from Lexington, Ky. We went to high school together and then met 8 years later at a restaurant where we both worked. We are both very adventurous and fun loving people. Currently we live in Lexington, Ky in a house with two other people. We are growing a garden this summer but plan to leave on an epic road trip around the country after that. Evan plays guitar and Kristen is learning to contact juggle. We plan to go to a lot of big cities to street perform and a lot of national parks to camp and make our way across the country. We are both really honest, considerate and accepting people and get along with everyone no matter what our differences may be. We hope to use this website as a way to meet a lot of awesome people around the country.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have room for people we get to know to stay at our house (where we live with two other people) and we are planning an extended road trip with no definite end in which we hope to meet a lot of new friends from this community.

Interests

Kristen:
-I am learning Russian
-I absolutely love astrophysics
-I love everything Daniel Quinn has ever written, my favorite book of all time is 'The Story of B' and I actually have the letter "B" tattooed on my foot because of that book, it's brilliant
-I absolutely love the band Modest Mouse, a couple years back I got to meet the band and hang out with the bassist and the drummer for a couple hours, they are the nicest people you will ever meet.
-i love to travel and meet other travelers
-I enjoy grabbing some drinks with my friends
-rock climbing (beginner)

Evan:
-I am very passionate about music, I play guitar and love to go to shows of any genre every chance I get. I love punk rock but I listen to anything from folk to death metal and everything in between. My favorite band is NOFX.
-I have been a chef for 7 years, I love cooking as a job and at home. We are always coming up new dishes and having feasts nearly every night.
-I have two cats Ruth and Finch but I love all animals.
-I enjoy the outdoors and going hiking and camping.
-I am looking forward to traveling the country and meeting some of you guys and making new friends.

Meeting each other and getting to know each other and growing close is the best thing we have experienced together. It's been amazing to be one of the few that gets to date their best friend and someone who really lets you be yourself and accepts you for who you are.
