Hi, my name's Fynn and I am from Germany, Augsburg where Iive and study my passion which is communication design (kinda like graphic design, I can explain when we meet!). It's definitely all I ever dreamed off, so I can go on and on talking about design related stuff, only my knowledge of art and design history is a bit lacking. A (bad?) habit of mine is picking up some kind of creative hobby, putting all I have into it for a few weeks or months and then probably letting it rot in the back of my closet until a few years later I think that doing sculpture could be fun again. For keeping the balance I love going out in nature or the city and just walking or hiking, doing some sport and going out for a drink every once in a while.

All in all I am mostly a quiet person and don't mind doing things on my own but once I get into an interesting conversation I love talking and discussing, especially art and nature stuff. I am very open-minded and absolutely not perfect (no one is) but I do my best to see the things as other people might see them and emphasise with other points of view (so long as it's not discriminatory or in any way supporting the right-wing – if you're not open-minded what are you doing on CS anyways?)

Unfortunately I can’t host myself because here I live in a way too tiny student apartment, but I’d love to someday be able to give back to the community and also host people from all over the world.

Also I am a cat-AND-dog-person and will try to pet every cat I see.

Somehow I never really got around to travelling much until last year so I made the decision to have my first experience alone in another country with couch surfing and while I only stayed with one host so far it's been a great experience and I'm happy this website and so many amazing people that do this exist! So now I want to travel more, meet more new people and discover cities and everything there is like and with locals!

Музыка, кино и книги

For music mostly rock/punk/indie (lately I've discovered Grand Commander, small but great artist) and sometimes a bit of everything else. I'd also like to go to more concerts but still have to bring myself to go alone). For films my all-time favourites are Bohemian Rhapsody and Nightmare before Christmas (I'm a fan of most other Tim Burton movies as well) and I don’t do a lot of reading at the moment, but I like everything Neil Gaiman, mythology of any kind and poetry, but one of my favourite books that I love to reread is Good Omens (by (again) Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett).

Finally studying abroad and learning Italian!

Teach: I love to talk about design and could teach a thing or two about it (be it web design, typography or photography I'll try to do my best). Also, as my mother tongue is German, I can at least try to teach the language a bit.

Learn: I love learning any new things, especially creative, nature or language related and while I'm in Italy I'll definitely better my Italian!
