ABOUT ME

Traveling through Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan from September - December 2016.

I am very outgoing and greatly enjoy communicating with people. Everyone has something interesting to offer. I am also extremely open and it is difficult to make me feel awkward by asking a question. With this, I also tend to ask personal questions as well. It is rather difficult to offend me, so no worries there. I am not very good about planning ahead and prefer to simply play things by ear.

One of my favorite past times is couples dancing. Lindy and blues are my favorites, but I've also dabbled in a few others. I also find trying new foods a blast and am always looking for unique restaurants.

PHILOSOPHY

New people and new actives provide a different perspective. This can alter your beliefs and way of life because you are constantly growing and changing as new information comes into play. Take advantage of opportunities and take risks because... why not? Experience life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience is very limited though greatly enjoyable. I don't have much time to travel due to school and work, but I am hoping to host people that come through Asheville.

Interests

Swing and blues dancing are my favorite past times as of now. Also tennis, kayaking, camping, and learning anything and everything that is even slightly interesting. My newest hobbies are rock climbing and cycling. In the future I want to learn Mandarin, ASL, sewing, and pole dancing.

Books: Misery by Stephen King, the Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz

Music: it varies but... Jimmy Buffett, Mumford and Sons, Classic Rock, Country, Rock, Folk, Indie, etc. I'm not very picky

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving for my 18th birthday... absolutely phenomenal. I want to take lessons so I can hopefully jump alone and see what it is like to be completely free of anything. Even for only a couple of minutes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn about other cultures, perspectives, ideas, etc. Mainly, I would just like to communicate. Not everyone has the same experiences, and these have affected people in different ways. I want to learn about you.

I'm not completely sure what I can teach you. I can teach people how to dance (guys and girls), but besides that, I know a bunch of random things.
