Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch many movies/TV shows, but when I do, I really enjoy documentaries and existential dramas that make you think. Foreign films are wonderful also.
At the moment, I've been listening to a lot of electronic music, post-rock, alternative. Although, I love live jazz, classical, and world beats.
I don't know if I have a specific genre for books, but the last few books I've read have been on meditation and Buddhism. Usually a good book on environmentalism and sustainability is something I dive into. Who knows what is next on the list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Is it possible to choose only one amazing thing?
Okay, as of recently, hiking Mt. Chimborazo (the closest point on Earth to the sun) was absolutely mystical.
I've scuba dived off the islands of Galapagos and was caught in a tornado of glimmering fish with turtles above me, hammerhead sharks below me- that experience blew my mind
I traversed a huge volcanic crater in the middle of la sierras in Ecuador surrounded by a rolling patchwork quilt of hills as far as the eye can see
I sailed from Vancouver, Canada to California on a whim
Many summers spent camping in a tent around the gorgeous British Columbia cedar old-growth forests
So many amazing things...Life is so incredible, I can't just pick one

Teach, Learn, Share

I LOVE to teach spinning techniques- hula hooping, poi, dancing styles. I love sharing recipes for cooking, and making new dishes together. I will always love playing new sports, and learning new techniques for the ones I already know.
Language exchange is an obvious sharing opportunity, but important enough to mention anyways. Am open to teaching and learning languages!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Couchsurfing hosts, and people in general, are so incredibly generous and giving, its quite humbling being a couchsurfer most of the time. I have been inclined on giving small gifts, sharing whatever I feel inspired to share with the beautiful people I meet along the way. I tend to enjoy giving massage, little trinkets, bits of Canada, sharing information, sharing the gift of aromatherapy, whatever I can to the people I meet. It varies with the host, but I try to make sure I share something with every host I have.

Countries I’ve Visited
