About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Become a global citizen.

ABOUT ME

20 years old, from Boston and currently studying in Perugia, Italy. Trying couchsurfing so I can learn more about culture, language, food, etc. and go beyond being a tourist. At school I study environmental science and work at a small vegetable farm that donates all of its produce to nonprofits in the surrounding city. I'm passionate about meeting people and finding out their passions, seeing as much of the world as I can, and food justice issues. I'm open-minded and love to learn the stories that make other people who they are.

PHILOSOPHY

'Practically speaking, a life that is vowed to simplicity, appropriate boldness, good humor, gratitude, unstinting work and play, and lots of walking, brings us close to the actually existing world and its wholeness.' - Gary Snyder

Add time with friends and family and this quote says it all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've camped in the Everglades of Florida for 10 days in January 2012. On this trip I biked 15 miles next to alligators, canoed through mangrove forests, did a swamp walk in a cypress dome among other things.
I've seen all of Madrid from the drop of an amusement park ride that dropped into free fall as soon as you started to enjoy the view.
I've roadtripped with close friends all around the Northeastern United States.
I've partcipated in an amazing week of service and community involvement in Coachella Valley, California.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about gardens, how to make them more efficient and organic, 'home remedies' of sorts to avoid pesticides, when what crops are ready to be harvested when.

Countries I’ve Visited
