About Me

If you would like me to host you, please read my entire profile before sending a request.

Super chill, positive, friendly person that’s extremely curious about the world.
Even though I’m an introvert in essence, I love socializing and meeting new people. During my travels I found out that what made the whole experience more unique were the people I met on the way. Most of the best moments were shared with people I was lucky enough to encounter and I learned so much. So much now I basically travel to meet new people! I love exploring new cultures and all the beautiful and sometimes ugly things this planet has to offer.
I’m open to new experiences, people and ideas.
Currently on a mission to explore as much as I can, learn about life, learn about myself and help others on the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I previously mentioned, I now basically travel to meet new people. Don’t get me wrong. Sure, it can be nice to see all the incredible touristic spots, and I do like to wander around alone and explore on my own as my introverted self definitely needs time away from people, but to me nothing beats it when you meet fun locals and/or other travelers that are willing to explore with you and maybe show you more unique things.
To me, leaving a place without doing the most touristic activities is much better than leaving without meeting the people that make the place I’m visiting. Not to mention, some of these people can show you places that are much more interesting than your regular tourist traps.

Hoping to find likeminded people to hang out and have a fun time.
I’ve met many cool people using Couchsurfing, it’s amazing! Specially for me that only travel alone.

FOR PEOPLE REQUESTING TO STAY WITH ME:

Hello! Glad you found me! :)

Wanna stay?
Please read the disclaimers and house rules and then send me a message telling me a bit about you and answering ALL of the questions below:

-Why are you visiting? Will this be your first time here?
-What are some of the things you would like to do in the city?
-What do you expect from your stay with me?
-What's your favorite shape?
Please also include date and time of arrival and departure.

[Disclaimers]

This is NOT the place for you if you are:

-Looking for sex or a romantic relationship of any kind. Again, NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU.
-A taker/leech.
-Floating around aimlessly just looking for a place to crash.
-Not open minded or open to unconventional ideas and we don't share a lot of things in common (please read my interests).

You can stay for a maximum of 3 days only.
Requests that don't follow the requirements will be declined with no response.

[House rules]

-Be polite, respectful, considerate and have common sense:
We don't need to hang out all the time. I actually encourage you to go out without me and meet different people if you want. But when we interact, it has to be at least pleasant. Basic "hi/good morning/night/how are you, thank you, etc" is enough. Of course, not everyone likes small talk and I hope we can break the small talk wall and have deeper, more meaningful conversations, but if you can't at least cover the basics, it's not going to work.
-Respect me, my home, my things and my differences.
-Clean after yourself and keep the place organized, including your own things.
-Feel free to feel welcome in my space. I don't mind sharing. Eating and drinking whatever I have available is ok as long as I also have things to eat and drink. Again, don't be a leech.
-No strangers should ever be brought over without my consent.
-Come as you are and share things about you:
It's challenging truly expressing yourself in a new environment, specially in someone else's space. We all want to be accepted and always wonder about other people's opinion.
But please, feel free to just be yourself! That's exactly what I want to see.
Voice your true opinions and personality. That makes thing easier for me.
-Be a good communicator:
Of course people are different and have different personalities, but common courtesy should be there.
I understand circumstances change and unpredictable things tend to happen often when traveling. On the other hand, good communication is usually something within our control. I have my own schedule as well and like to know when my guest will be here and leave. If your plans change, please let me know and be as communicative as possible to make sure things run smoothly.

If we are talking, be present, engage and avoid playing on your phone. If I take the time to show you around and you're missing out on everything because you're too busy on your phone posting on social media, that's a waste of my time and also a disrespectful behavior.

Please respect and follow all of my instructions or I will kick you out. Don't put me in this uncomfortable situation.

All I have to base my judgment of you are your words and behaviors.
If you can't keep your words or your behaviors are not in accordance with your words, it means I can't trust or host you.
Be honest and I will be understanding.

I believe that covers it for now.
Hope it didn't sound to restrictive or demanding but if any of the things I mentioned didn't offend you, you might be eligible to stay with me. :)
Don't forget to answer the questions listed in the beginning and can't wait to meet you!

Enjoy life, it's short. But learn your lessons too.
Gabby
