I am a biology major at Wichita State University. Coming from a small town in Kansas my family did not travel very often so now that I have the opportunity to go out on my own and explore I want to take advantage of it as much as I can before I start my pursuit of becoming a rural physician.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people has always been something that I have enjoyed, my friends used to make fun of me because they would leave me somewhere for a few minutes and by the time they came back I would of struck up a conversation with someone and learned their life story. Couch surfing was recommended to me by another student who I talked to about doing a study abroad and I now I can't wait to take my first trip so I can use this website because I think I will no longer just be staying in a city but really get to experience it.

Interests

I enjoy hiking,hunting,running (the outdoors). I am an avid reader but have slowed down tremendously since college. Anything science related I am always down to learn about. Cooking is one thing that I think brings people together, so I am always happy to cook for someone or help out in the kitchen. I might not like everything I eat, but I will try anything once! I have a passion for volunteering and would like one day to be able to take a week off from my job every year and just go help people less fortunate be it in another country or in my own town.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really don't know what I can share with my hosts, I can cook on a college budget and I love to talk science. I hope I am good company for anyone that is willing to open their home to me and I would love to share the life of a midwest Kansas boy with anyone who would like to listen.
