À propos de moi

20 yrs old, born and raised in Banff, Alberta (a rarity, I know, people can't stop talking about it). I did two years of Creative Writing at University of Victoria but currently I'm going through a phase where I'm just not sure about the future and think I should recognize and embrace that. Been taking a year away from school and in that time I've been doing a lot of working and not much travelling, so now's the chance to catch up!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I want to collect as many personal memories of my travels. It's one thing to move from place to place and see all that you can, but the time in between with great people makes all the difference!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Big fan of underground music, especially going through a phase of house and electronic music, but here are some key artists/bands:
Nicolas Jaar, The Field, Broken Social Scene, DJ Shadow, Four Tet, Madlib, Knxledge, Mount Kimble, Panthu du Prince

As for films it's hard to narrow down a list. Love films by David Fincher, Denis Villeneuve, Quentin Tarantino, the list goes on.

And with books I'm constantly wishing I was reading more. The best way for me to sit down with a book is right in the morning, right in the early AM. If you give me a book in the afternoon or evening I'll get antsy and won't be able to sit still for 5 minutes at a time. I love to read and am always looking for subject and authors that are out of my way and comfort zone.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Few things:
- Run a couple half-marathons already, and I'm hoping finish a full marathon in the next few years.
- Rode an elephant in Thailand
- Most recently, got to hear the pipe organ in Montreal's Notre Dame Basillica. One of the most amazing instruments I've ever heard!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can talk on and on about books and films and music, those are my big three passions.
I want to learn how to be more open with people! It's very easy for me to go about things along and be independent but I'm wishing that I could do more adventures with someone. I need spontaneity! And this being the first time I'm travelling alone, I want to grow out of my shell and be comfortable with trying new things with new people!

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

A sense of humour, respect for your home, in and out as much as I can to not intrude, but if you want to sit around a get to know each other over a bottle of wine, that can be achieved :- )

Pays que j'ai visités

Australia, Austria, Cambodia, France, New Zealand, Portugal, Thailand, United States

Pays dans lesquels j'ai vécu
