Hello, everyone!

My name is Gabe and I am currently a pre-medical undergrad at Brown (aka: The Greatest College ever!) concentrating in Cognitive Neuroscience. While I tell people that I aspire to become a neurosurgeon and/or an educator, truth be told—I’m still trying to really figure out what is that I really like to do. What I do know, however, is: (a) I love interacting with people; (b) I want to be of service to people; (c) I gravitate towards environments where one can never stop learning; and (d) I hope to make a significant difference in this world. So I focus on accumulating experiences, forging meaningful friendships, and maximizing my potential to make a positive impact while staying true to my core values.

Outside of my academic and professional life, I’m usually traveling, catching up with awesome people, or eating.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From August - December, I will be studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark with the DIS Program. An avid traveler, I want to take advantage of my new home and my proximity to countries I have yet to visit (and how easy it is to travel around!). However, I want to be cautious with my spending, and being able to meet people while securing housing would add to my travel experiences!

Favorite books: Kite Runner, Outliers, The Wisdom of Insecurity, Crime and Punishment, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, 1984, Cat's Cradle, and of course, Hunger Games.

Movies: V for Vendetta, Butterfly Effect, Inception, Shutter Island (basically anything with Leonardo DiCaprio), Gone Girl, Black Swan, Requiem For A Dream, Mulan, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, Se7en. , Up, Life is Beautiful, Zootopia.
