Overview
About Me
Optimistic, friendly, open to all types. Not quite introverts, not quite extroverts. Driven to go places, do things, and take chances that we will remember happily, or at least humorously.
The more we travel (just getting started!), the more it's clear there is never a reason to settle in any one place, not for long anyway.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Our biggest trip was traveling around the U.S for 3 months on a motorcycle. Amazing trip, thanks to all our awesome couchsurfing hosts! Great to know there are people out there who are so kind and want to open their home to help out travelers. Met so many other travelers and like-minded people along the way, this became the real excitement of our 3 month trip!
We really, really hope to pay back all that "couchsurfing-karma" soon, and host as many people as possible :)
Interests
We recently move to Montreal!
Gabe:
Born in small town WI, with parents who had traveled the world. Traveled quite a bit while very young, then college/job/etc happened. Realized I hate being "settled", so got rid of just about everything I owned to take an around-the-US motorcycle trip. Now...anything goes :) I am a 3D artist and programmer by trade, though I enjoy being physically active much more than in a chair.
Ka:
Am an artist, my main focus is photography and painting. I was born in Thailand and came to the United States when I was little. I grew up in Minnesota, but have moved all over the U.S since 18. Love meeting different cultures and traveling around the world. I'm totally not a biker, but being with Gabe for so many years, I'm trying to get the hang of it.

Teach, Learn, Share
Gabe is a techy, and is happy to show/teach/talk at length about anything tech related, especially game-dev :) Or motorcycles. Or food. Kayoua is a painter (digital and traditional) and photographer.
If any of these are of use to you, just ask, we'd love to share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
We've accumulated a few good stories by now, and plenty of advice for other travelers, all learned the hard way (the only way, really). Once we finally have our own place, we will also be very happy to host you in return!
