About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Don’t let making a living prevent you from making a life…
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Arizona in 2003 to attend Arizona State University. I graduated in May of 2008 and celebrated by taking a trip to various parts of Europe during May and June.
I now live back in LA and I am working towards getting my Master´s in Education with a focus on Math to teach high school to the inner city kids of LA. I hope to surround myself with fun and positive people!
PHILOSOPHY
I am who I am. I live my life to the fullest. I love meeting new people and learning from them. I believe everyone has something to offer and can enrich and change your life if given the chance to do so. I do not regret anything that has happened in my life so far because it has helped make me who I am today and I welcome new experiences and adventures with an open mind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am still fairly new to couchsurfing. At first it´s easy to see mostly the selfish aspects of couch surfing, such as a free place to stay, but now I am realizing that it is so much more than spending the night on someone's couch.
I am so excited that I found out about this and cannot wait to host and meet other travelers as well as continue to stay with others as I travel. I also have realized that couchsurfing is a great way to connect with other people who live right in your same city, so lets hang out!!
Interests
I really enjoy hiking, biking, swimming and pretty much anything outdoors. I have such a great appreciation for nature and animals and can sit by myself in a park or on top of the mountain for hours and be totally content.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like books about real life, autobiographies, business books, and stories about perseverance and survival.
As far as music, I like hip hop, R&B, pop, top 40, some country, techno.. but mostly I love NEW MUSIC, show me what you listen to! I can pretty much jam out, dance and find an appreciation for anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know if this qualifies as amazing, but I used to hike Camelback Mountain in Arizona a few times a week and each time I still felt like it was the first time and each time I would find new things that amaze and astound me both about nature and about people. I want to find a place like that to hike out here in LA.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn about other cultures and ways of thinking that challenge my beliefs. I hope to both teach and learn from those I meet through conversation and experience.
While in college I have had various jobs, everything from telesales, to resident assitant in the dorms, to working in a restaurant and as a caterer.
This past year I worked as an Account Manager for an electronics distribution firm in Los Angeles. And now I am in the process of becoming a teacher. I look forward to hearing about others' lives whether it be what they do for work, what they believe, or what they are passionate about.
