Hello travelers! 🌎

We are Gabi and Mati, a young couple from Córdoba, Argentina. We are calm and happy. We like art, music, we are passionate about traveling, being independent. We currently work producing handmade jewelry with natural gems and stones, which allows us to travel and take our art wherever we are.
We currently live on an island called Holbox in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.
We are new to CS and would love to use this amazing tool for travelers. It would be a pleasure to share and exchange culture and life experiences.

Somos Gabi y Mati, una pareja joven de Córdoba, Argentina. Somos tranquilos y alegres. Nos gusta el arte, la música, nos apasiona viajar, ser independientes. Actualmente trabajamos produciendo joyería artesanal con gemas y piedras naturales, lo que nos permite viajar y llevar nuestro arte donde quiera que estemos. Actualmente vivimos en una isla llamada Holbox en la Península de Yucatán, México.
Somos nuevos en CS y nos encantaría utilizar esta increíble herramienta para viajeros. Sería un placer compartir e intercambiar cultura y experiencias de vida.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are here because many traveling friends use CS and we think it is a good tool since we are interested in continuing to discover places and we believe it can be useful to us. It would be a pleasure to share with new people, exchange cultures, languages, learn from their culture, have a good time and show them this magical island where we live.

Estamos aquí porque muchos amigos viajeros utilizan CS y nos parece una buena herramienta ya que nos interesa seguir descubriendo lugares y creemos que nos puede ser útil. Sería un placer compartir con gente nueva, intercambiar culturas, idiomas, aprender de su cultura, pasar un buen rato y mostrarles esta mágica isla donde vivimos.

Music, Movies, and Books

We enjoy always being accompanied by music. From Argentine national rock, cumbias, pop, blues to classical music and tango, but above all we love dancing to the rhythm of the Cordoban quartet🇦🇷💃🏼 The film genres that we like the most are science fiction, documentaries and we love films based on real events. From literature we look for works that transcend orthodox genres and combine documentary, fiction, journalism, political analysis and history. We love poems.

Disfrutamos de estar siempre acompañados con música.
Desde rock nacional argentino, cumbias, pop, blues hasta música clásica y tango, pero por sobre todo amamos bailar al ritmo del cuarteto cordobés🇦🇷💃🏼
Los géneros cinematográficos que más nos gustan son los de ciencia ficción, documentales y amamos las películas basadas en hechos reales.
De la literatura buscamos obras que trasciendan géneros ortodoxos y combinen documental, ficción, periodismo, análisis político e historia.
Nos encantan los poemas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We thought that the fact that we met and three days later picked up the car from the shop and started traveling to Brazil for three months was something beautiful and incredible.
Not knowing if the car was going to reach its destination, or where we were going to sleep, leaving the comforts of family in search of new adventures together.
Since then, the traveling life has blessed us on many different occasions. Like being stuck in Cuba and a man you met on a bus offers you a house, food and a bed. Even living with Tarantulas in the Brazilian jungle living in a tent (we do not recommend if you have arachnophobia)

Pensamos que el hecho de conocernos y tres días después recogiéramos el coche del taller y empezáramos a viajar a Brasil durante tres meses fue algo hermoso e increíble. Sin saber si el auto iba a llegar a su destino, ni dónde íbamos a dormir, dejando las comodidades de la familia en busca de nuevas aventuras juntos. Desde entonces, la vida viajera nos ha bendecido en muchas ocasiones diferentes. Como estar atrapado en Cuba y un hombre que conociste en un autobús te ofrece casa, comida y una cama. Incluso vivir con Tarántulas en la selva brasileña viviendo en una tienda de campaña (no recomendamos si tienes aracnofobia)
