About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Couchsurfing has played a huge part in my life over the past 10 years and I always want to keep that philosophy, mentality and understanding in my life. I’d like to meet up with other travelers to keep up the travel spirit and meet other cool, like-minded people.

ABOUT ME

I am super laid-back and easy to get along with. I love to travel and meet new people. I love the beach. I love music. I like to stay active and be outdoors when the weather is nice. I work to live, not live to work. I am honest and sincere. I am a dependable and reliable friend. I try to make the most in life because it's short and shouldn't be wasted.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry, be happy. Life is short...why wait?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS was a huge help when I moved to San Diego and didn't know anyone. I couchsurfed for a while when I first got to town and made many friends here through CS/Tipsy Tuesday. I've hosted a few people and now have surfed with a ton after traveling the world. I couldn’t have done it without the CS community. Looking forward to returning the favor when I have my own place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is awesome! It helped me get on my feet when I first moved to San Diego and has introduced me to many people I now call my friends. I love learning about different countries, cultures and points of views through the people I meet.

Interests

I want to see the world and am fascinated by new places, people, and cultures. I love trying new things! Ask me to do something I haven't done yet and I will probably say yes. I constantly challenge myself by pushing my limits and trying something new. I like sports from volleyball to basketball to lacrosse. Kick ball and ping-pong are always fun too. I love to dance...especially salsa. I love soaking up the sun and going to the beach, pool or just doing anything outdoors. Since moving to San Diego I’ve taken up surfing, aerial silks and slacklining. I really enjoy concerts and live music. Music is a HUGE part of my life!

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE MUSIC! I like almost everything other than country. I'm almost always listening to music and even when it's not on, there's usually something playing in my head. Although I'm a fan of a wide variety of styles, nothing quite does it like reggae. Every time I hear it, it puts me in a good mood and makes me want to be on the beach!

I rarely read but I do enjoy movies. My favorite genre is comedy and least favorite is horror. I always enjoy a good laugh. :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I dove with sharks in the blue hole in Belize which was AMAZING. It made getting my scuba certification completely worthwhile.

I went paragliding over Lake Atitlan in Guatemala which had wonderful views and was an extraordinary feeling.

I skydived in San Diego and enjoyed the awesome mountain views from San Diego to Mexico.

I went to Iguazu Falls 3x in Argentina and felt the mist on my face from the Garganta del Diablo which was absolutely incredible. It is definitely one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

I celebrated Carnaval in Brazil and Oktoberfest in Germany.

I've studied and lived abroad in Argentina, I've worked as a tour leader throughout Central America and I traveled the world for over a year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've always wanted to learn guitar. If I had to choose something I really wanted to study and learn, it would be languages so I could talk to and meet more people as I travel throughout the world.

I like to share my laid-back, don't worry vibes. I enjoy sharing my experiences and travels while opening up the minds of others to what the rest of the world has to offer and why they should see more!

I'm not a native speaker, but have become fluent in Spanish after studying and living in Argentina. I'd be down to help teach some Spanish to whoever wants to learn and can also teach you the basics if you want to learn how to salsa. I can also teach you how to surf, slackline or do aerial silks!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very respectful guest and would love to help any way I can as a thanks for hosting me. I would love to have you as a new friend and share new experiences together whether it's just great conversation, having a meal or grabbing a drink, chilling and watching a movie or going out and exploring! I would also welcome you to visit and stay with me in San Diego if you are ever traveling that way.

SIDE NOTE:
If you are a touchy, feely, flirty kind of host, please don’t accept my request. I am not looking for anything more and no matter how subtle you think you are, I really don’t appreciate being touched or massaged when it’s unsolicited. If you wouldn’t do it to your guy friend, please don’t do it to me.
