About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Understanding the underlying and no obvious facts, learn from every single person who crosses my path, overcome the hard reality of the world... keep smiling, dancing, and survive. At the end, I try to remember that love is what matters.

ABOUT ME
I live in Auburn, AL, USA, although in the project I'm working on it, involves studying virus evolution in Kenya, Uganda y Tanzania. Right now I'm in Nairobi and traveling around the Rift Valley... so excited!!
The world and the people who live on it never stop to amazing me... keep traveling is the best to learn, feel and open my mind. It remains me the things that really matters, and even when the world can also be sad, cruel or unfair. That's how it is! Becoming stoic is hard, but necessary. Just need to remind me consciously that happiness is ephemeral, and does not depend on of the reality, depends on of the every one of us, and we need to work on it.

CURRENT MISSION
"Sex, Sleep, Eat, Drink, Dream..."

ABOUT ME

I moved to Finland in September 2014, since then I live in Pihlajanmäki UH, my life is a contrasting mixed between a fantastic adventure and a peaceful dream. I consider myself nosy, curious, passionate and fleeting. I always try to live to the limit and push myself to do the best. I love running, swimming and in general outside sports, but nowadays gym is being also fun. I need sports to spread all the energy that I have (maybe because as I'm always hungry and therefore I eat a lot!), but usually people tend to think that I'm good at it, but actually I suck because I just do it for fun. I'm a very simple person who loves to meet new people, places, experiences, smiles and always available to share a cup of coffee. I enjoy crowded places, loud music, and crazy friends as much as being alone in the middle of the forest with no clue of the way how to come back. There're very few things that I don't like among them: violence, monopolies, and intolerance. I like to have a deep conversation about how a particular gene could be regulated by transcription factors and generate "non-sense" hypothesis as much as being silence, relax and watch the beautiful Finnish landscape. I like speaking in English and Italian although mispronouncing things are my thing. I'm also wanna try with Finnish, maybe?

--- (past) ----

I live with my boyfriend in an apartment close to Guanajuato, we're studying our Ph.D. in the National Laboratory of Genomics for Biodiversity in Mexico. I work with structural proteins & he works with plant's physiology. We spent 24/7 hours in the lab, but we always make some time for dancing salsa and work out at the gym. We always try to participate in outreach science activities, 'coz for us it's very important to talk directly to the society about the physics that are underlying the everyday facts and the biochemical reactions that seem to be bored and complicated but that actually are already part of our day to day. If we understand that we are humans, we’re all one species, we are all one race, and the only difference is the colour of our skin, and that’s the result of where our ancestors lived on the Earth’s surface, maybe we can live more peacefully as a society, creating our own history in base on respect and love, that´s what science means to me.
We also love sports (movement in general), novel books (dreaming and travel without any barrier), dancing (flying and floating on the floor) and plants (just because these girls are amazing, transforming photons to food, shazaming)!!

Ooh, and we have a beautiful cat, she lives with us since 4 years ago. She's very special and has a calico color!

PHILOSOPHY
I don't give a fuck if humans have legs as softwood or bland sand, a peach skin or sandpaper. I give it an importance equal to zero, the fact that matted with an aphrodisiac or insecticide breath. I am perfectly capable of supporting a nose that would take the first prize at an exhibition of carrots, but of course! -and here I am irreducible, I can't forgive, under any pretext, who can not fly. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We don't have so much free time, but you are welcome to come, sleep, breakfast and talk in the nights. In weekends we can travel to different places like quiet and peaceful or psy-parties. Everything that make me move (or my brain) is fine for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I want to meet people of different places and if I can show them my beautiful country. Next week I'm gonna travel to Japan, and it'd be great make some friends there!

Interests

New ways to understand the paths that "everybody knows" (and actually, nobody really understands). Learn to listen. Keep active, gym, swimming, boxing whatever makes me feel strong. Always be me, smile and dance no matter what!
