About Me

Hi, I'm Gabriel. I'm an architecture student currently doing a year abroad in Barcelona, Spain.
This is my first time in Europe so I'm very excited to explore beautiful places and meet new, interesting people.
I'm very easy going and quiet, but I can be fun too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Now that I'm living in Spain, I want to know Europe as much as I can before returning to South America, and couchsurfing is an excellent way to travel across Europe and meet new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled across Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina and I only did CS, my sister got all the references though :(
But I was such a nice experience and I hope to continue with it here in Chile

Interests

I love art, and I'm on a current mission to become one.
My musical taste is veeeeeeery wide, I like to say it goes from Bach to Britney.
But I really love Soul, Jazz and Blues, and anything that is cool and has a nice vibe.
I love food (most of my budget goes on food, lol) I always try to eat the local food everywhere I go, from regular home food, to the traditional cuisine and anything in between.
I like books and stories in general. I have a lot of both.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm always trying to know new and old stuff,
I wouldn't say I have one favorite artist or philosopher, but there are a few that have touched my heart in different ways: Diane Arbus, Louis Kahn, Simone DeBeauvoir, Jane Austen, JS. Bach, Chet Baker.

you know.... all that intelectual stuff haha. And the list could go on for long.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed to Machu Picchu under the rain! I was the most amazing feeling, all I wanted to do was to get to the sanctuary to complete the adventure!

In 2013, my sister and I hitch-hiked from Buenos Aires to Foz do Iguazu, about 1200 kms. Then again, hitch-hiked from Camboriu to Montevideo, another 1500 kms.
We couchsurfed the entire trip. Pretty cool, huh?
But now I'm living my second big adventure, I'm learning new things every day, but living in a different city, traveling a lot, and meeting people from all over the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can sketch and make drawings, listen to good music, discuss the current global situation, go to a museum, a nice park, or even wander around the streets of a city.
I try to make everything a precious moment when I'm traveling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A nice conversation about anything! I always try to find some way to connect with the person I'm with.
