About Me

Was born and raised in Hungary, and also lived more than 5 years in the UK, which i had enjoyed thoroughly.

But recently have come to a realisation that i am most probably a viking at heart. I was fortunate to have visited Sweden 3x, and Norway once, and absolutely loved it! Felt like arriving home every time. Like i had some previous lifes spent there, loved the calmness, the serenity, the mountains, the waters, the colours.

I tend to be a bit of a social introvert, not the best in small talks, rather enjoying deep meaningful conversations. Really calm and humble.
My friends, even my CS surfers say i have an aura of care and safety around me, everybody tends to be felt safe around me. I am a big bear i guess:)
Oh, that reminds me i am always on a diet, haha:) As i love to cook and eat, i have to control this somehow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To break out of my comfort zone, to be more open, braver, a bit less of a social introvert.
So far only hosted people, now i think is time to be a surfer myself also. I had only positive ecperiences so far with my surfers.

So, scared but curious at the same time:)

I love talking about different cuisines, i like politics, sports, just chilling whilst watching something on the screen be it laptop or TV.

When abroad, i prefer walking around, without any rush to see all the museums or churches. Rather just breathing in the local aura, sitting down with a beer, going with the flow, watching the people and basically just imagining what it's like living in that city/country.

So i guess, sharing this with a local, with the insight and local knowledge can be given it is even more educating and much more fun. But i am also happy wandering around by myself.

Interests

Cooking, wine, Jamie Oliver, playing squash and frisbee, watching NFL, John Bishop, Attenborough, Little Britain Excel, gym and running, daydreaming, listening to Podcasts, Little Britain. Basically all kinds of docus and scientific programmes, especially with prof Brian Cox or Jim-Al-Khalili. And cooking programmes lol. All the lovely and very professional and entertaining british stuff. Where the Wild Men are with Ben Fogle.

Recently i got a bit more serious with running. Have been planning to run Half marathons for ages, but never managed it, always chickened out and then restarted the trainings.
Looks like in 2019, if my knees obey, i will take on my first challenges!

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly rock and metal, and the 60-70s hard rock genre. But i am happy to listen everything really, not that fussy about it:)

Movies....i tend to watch funny and sweet family sitcoms instead, over and over again.
The middle, Friends, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, Suburgatory, Doc Martin, ooooh Top Gear a big favourite too!

Havent really read many old school paper books lately. But keep spending a lot of time on Wikipedia. Nice invention that is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lying on the ground in Cornwall at Land's End on a sunny day, listening to the waves and the wind and felt totally peaceful and at rest.
I know, no big thingys needed to make me happy:)
As i tend to overworry and overplan everthing, i love those moments, when my energies are fully mine, and i can just be in the moment peacefully. For me this is heaven.
Mountains and open waters tend to wake this up in my soul.
