About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to always make a consious effort not to let life pass me by. I don't always succeed, but I don't give in without a fight:)

ABOUT ME

My occupation and my "mission statement" go toe-to-toe often. I want to see all there is to see, but I like the security having a job brings...plus it is necessary to fund me seeing all there is to see.

I like to stay active. I hiked Mt Whitney this August and even though there is a clearly marked trail and people reach the top every day, I somehow feel like I conquered nature, or at least pushed myself and passed.

I watch a little more TV than I wish I did or I tell people I do. Most of the time I don't even enjoy it all that much but I have a comfortable couch:)

PHILOSOPHY

Be nice. If someone is being mean it is their issue, not yours...so just be nice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to meet up with fellow travelers, drink a drink, eat some food, climb a mountain and explore cities. Whether that be my own or a city I am visiting. If that means sleeping on someone's couch or someone sleeping on mine, I'm all for it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch has been a refuge for many of my friends over the years. I live pretty central to the "action" in Tempe/scottsdale Arizona so my friends who live further away have often used it as a place to crash/live over the weekend. As we've grown older it's use in this way has pretty much come to a halt.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like undergound Hip Hop, and I like Lil Wayne. I like obscure folk music, and I like Arcade Fire. I don't like or dislike music based on it being popular or not popular. I like what I like and don't what I don't. I am more particular with movies. I don't particularly care for most action movies since they are rarely more than visual stimulation overload. I like a unique story and I don't care how long and drawn out that story is as long as it is told in a creative way. Sometimes when I've worked too much I love nothing more than visual stimulating mindlessness. That is what Transfomers 3 is for:)Books: I wish I read more. I have read some Phalahniuk and Sedaris. I enjoy them but I don't give myself enough time for books:(

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being in Berlin was the first time I saw pre-World War II and post-World War II comingled. That was something I'll never forget. Also the Kebabs were amazing.
