About Me

Hello! I'm from Brazil, my name is Gabriel, nice to meet you!

I have just moved to Europe, right now I'm living in a tiny (reeeeally tiny, but beautiful) city called Paderno del Grappa. I'll be in Italy for a while and then I'll move to Madrid, to open up an Açaí shop. (If you're wondering about what kind of wizardry is that, ask me! I'll be happy to tell you.)

I love to read and I write too. I'm a bit of a nerd, but I swear I'm very fun to be around :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
My taste is very eclectic, but I normally listen to:
Progressive Rock, Jazz, Brazillian Rock, Indie Rock, Classic Rock in general.
I enjoy electronic music, too.

Movies:
I love all movies. Whether you invite me to watch every Lars Von Trier movie on a marathon, or the latest Adam Sandler, I'll join you.
Some of my favorite movies are: Moonrise Kingdom, Forrest Gump, Mr. Nobody, and Relatos Salvajes.

Books:
I love to read, mostly latin american literature.
Some authors I love: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortazar, Ernesto Sabato, Milan Kundera, Albert Camus, Dostoievski, Kafka.

I read some philosophy, but I'm not very through on it. I love the Stoics like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Epictetus.
If you count, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Neil Postman, Friedrich Hayek.

I also read a lot of technical books on marketing and business in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wrote a book! It's a small short story book that could be translated to "Tales of the End of the World".

Also I was in the BEST CARNAVAL of the world the last 2 years. And no, it's not Rio.

I traveled the Brazilian cost by car.. I probably know 70% of it.

Also I have gone on a Roadtrip that started on central Brazil and ended in Buenos Aires, and then I came back. Almost 8000km on a car.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make a Caipirinha, maybe a little portuguese?

What I Can Share with Hosts

A nice beer, or wine - or let me make a caipirinha!

I can cook - I'm no chef but my food is good :)

I'll do the dishes, of course!

I'm learning about photography, so I'd love to take pictures.

AND of course, a great conversation!
